With over 30 years’ experience, Stephen was appointed Managing Director of Linear Projects with a clear vision to develop the business into a full supply and fit out company working directly with leading main contractors across the UK.

Appointed CEO of Linear UK Group in 2018, Stephen oversees all of the group businesses with a clear focus on both short and long-term planning and decision making.  Working with the senior management team, Stephen helps drive the evolution of the business, its people and its projects to the very highest standards he sets for the Group.

 In 2017, Scott was appointed Commercial Director of Linear Group to oversee the commercial strategy for the group. In this role, his focus is varied and touches on all aspects of the operation. From managing risk, compliance and budgeting, to optimising bid offers and leading negotiations, Scott calls on his commitment to collaboration and honesty to ensure the right values and behaviours are embedded into the organisation.

Scott works closely with all the Project Managers to ensure he has visibility and insight into the numerous projects ongoing at any one time. This enables him to adopt a value adding and diligent perspective, focused on quality and efficient client delivery.

In 2018, Ryan joined Linear to head up the newly formed Linear Design & Construct, in this role he is responsible for establishing and developing this new offer of intelligent design and construction solutions through collaboration from project inception to aftercare.  It is a particular passion of Ryan’s to understand each client and project need, to ensure that each one is delivered intelligently, creatively, and properly. This centres around our culture of always delivering on ‘doing what we said we would do and more’.

Over the past three years, Ryan has led LDC to work with many key clients including South West hub, West hub , KPMG and Clyde Gateway. Prior to this Ryan worked with Kier Scotland, driving a number of its key Frameworks including South West Hub and North Hub.  He led the development and delivery of Kier Scotland’s largest projects, assisting Kier’s turnover to double during his time there, whilst improving both Safety and Quality standards.

Over the past 27 years, Dan has acquired extensive experience and expertise of construction, working for a number of leading businesses covering new build, refurbishment and fit out across the North of England.

His unwavering commitment to understanding the specific needs of each client and project has seen him deliver exceptional outcomes of some of the most high-profile projects in the region. This includes BBC Media City and the University of Leeds Worsley Building.

Having spent the last 11 years as a director of Overbury Northern, he has honed his skills in delivering an outstanding product, but also creating individual delivery strategies tailored to each project, ensuring the client and their team enjoy a uniquely positive experience.

With a clear drive to deliver intelligent, creative and effective solutions, Dan demonstrates a commitment to ‘do what we promise and more’, be it programme, business as usual requirements, budget constraints or any other specific tasks required.

As Managing Director – England, Dan is responsible for the overall success of the entire business in the North of England, specifically driving growth and talent acquisition. He is also focused on targeting new opportunities and revenue streams, as well as enhancing and strengthen the Linear brand in the region.

A Chartered Electrical Engineer, he is passionate about ensuring the optimal understanding of each client’s priorities and a clear focus on this from the start to the end of each project.

Andy joined LDC from Overbury Northern where he spent eight years working his way from Technical Services Manager to Contracts Manager. Prior to this, he worked for ISG Northern on a number of major projects with values ranging from £500k to £28m. He began his career working in design consultancy practices. His varied experience across the North of England gives him a high level of knowledge and understanding of a range of different types and sizes of projects in the region.

As Senior Contract Manager for LDC – England, Andy is responsible for project delivery, covering programme delivery, monitoring, reporting and cost management. In this role he also oversees project delivery teams and the management of client team relationships, as well taking responsibility for pre-construction and construction phases. Andy utilises his consistently meticulous approach to ensure health, safety and environmental matters are managed to the highest possible standard.

From these early days, he demonstrated an unwavering commitment, work ethic and determination which has since helped shape his success and ongoing development.

David joined the estimating team at Linear Design & Construct in 2020.  In his role he is responsible for all incoming tenders to the business and ensuring clients are consistently offered a quality service at a competitive cost.

David actively engages with, and manages, the supply chain within the business, ensuring that contractors work with the correct supply chain partners to assist in meeting the high standards LDC strives to deliver.  His knowledge and experience of estimating, the supply chain and wider commercial sector ensures David demonstrates best value to clients on a recurring basis and provides constant support to senior management colleagues.

Hard-working and highly motivated, David plays a vital role in actively driving forward the ambitions of LDC and is committed to playing his part in the continued growth and success of the business.

Over the course of the next 3½ years, she expanded her role and knowledge into various areas of the preconstruction stage, gaining a wealth of invaluable bid writing and management experience.

During this pivotal stage in her career she cut her teeth on some high profile and complex submissions and projects, accelerating her skills and insight.  Highlights include Clyde Commercial Framework for Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), Edinburgh College of Art, Paisley Town Hall, Aberdeen Music Hall and The Burrell Museum.

Joining the team at Linear Design & Construct in September 2020, Lisa took up the position Assistant Bid Manager.  In this diverse and varied role she puts her strong written and technical skills to good use, as well driving effective communications and engagement across all relevant parties to optimise the process and outcome. 

Dependable and proactive, Lisa’s strong organisational skills and understanding of the  complexities of the bid process are vital to the efficient workings of the team.

Coupled with an unwavering commitment to health and safety and his Nebosh qualification, he consistently demonstrates the highest standards of execution and delivery.

Prior to joining Linear, Eddie worked client side for one of the UK’s biggest retailers before moving to the contracting side, where he gained invaluable experience with Johnstone Construction and Morris & Spottiswood.

During his career as a chartered construction manager, Eddie has successfully delivered projects for several major, high profile clients across the UK across the spectrum of industries including Government, office, education, retail, banking, shopping centres along with design and build projects working in partnership with consultancies and architectural practices.

Joining Linear Design & Construct as Contracts Manager in 2021, Eddie utilises his extensive experience to ensure the very best delivery of projects and excellent programme execution. A firm believer in transparent communication, Eddie adds real value to the LDC delivery team and drive effective client relationship management.

During his career, John has worked on diverse range of projects including education, hotel and office developments and has managed both site delivery and design teams.

Following 9 years working for principal contractors Kier, John joined Linear Design & Construct (LDC) in January 2019.  As Contracts Manager, John is responsible for the delivery of projects, ensuring excellent programme execution.  He oversees all LDC delivery teams and manages client relationships through effective and ongoing communication.

A finalist in the MCIOB Construction Manager of the Year Awards on two occasions, John is a huge asset to the LDC team - delivering projects on time and to the highest quality, as well as managing successful, long term client relationships.

Working previously for both Laing O’Rourke and Morgan Sindall, Andrew has a strong depth of understanding and experience of the principal contracting landscape and large scale, often complex, projects.

Andrew joined Linear Design & Construct (LDC) in December 2018 as one of its founding employees.  In his role, Andrew is principally responsible for front end contractual governance, cost planning, market testing and procurement.  Once projects reach site, he also oversees projects commercial and contractual control as well as supporting and developing the team.

During this time Matt determined that his core strength and passion lay in project management which led to him taking up the post of Site Manager for Overbury, before working his way to Senior Project Manager.  Over this period he successfully achieve chartered Construction Manager status and became a member of the Charterer Institute of Building.

Joining Linear Design & Construct in 2020, he took on responsibility for managing all aspects of delivery from procurement, design, construction and finance within the Manchester office.

Dedicated and reliable, Matt brings diverse and detailed experience to the team coupled with a strong understanding of the fundamentals of design and build.  His knowledge and experience of the construction scene in the North West of England add real value to the wider business approach and successes.

Angela began focusing on refurbishment and fit out in 2010, taking the role of Planning Manager with fit out business Overbury, where she developed a solid strategy for planning and controlling progress in both pre-construction and on sites across the North of England and Scotland.   With consistently high attention to detail, she demonstrates how a strong planning focus can strengthen the site delivery and overall quality of project for each client.

A highly motivated  and driven professional, Angela is trusted and respected amongst external consultants as a source of knowledge around planning and phasing strategies. Having worked on many projects from the early stages she can confidently define the clients requirements around phasing and use this when planning the project to minimise number of moves, phases and disruption to the client. 

As Group Planning Manager for Linear DC, Angela will focus on developing a group strategy for planning in both pre-construction and construction and aligning that with each of the businesses within the group and to the individual needs of their clients

With a commitment to honesty, Angela is passionate about ensuring the on-site solution works for clients, is supported by the project team and is effectively seen through to completion.

With a keen eye for coordination and detail, he has been instrumental in the success of multiple high profile projects. Beginning his career with Blyth and Blyth as a Structural & Civil Engineer, which included 3 years a resident Engineer, Graeme moved into design management with Sir Robert McAlpine followed by Kier.

Graeme’s wealth of experience in industrial/distilleries, leisure, commercial and most recently heritage/historic building refurbishment has seen him work extensively throughout the lifecycle of many projects, from inception through to handover.

This breadth of practical knowledge enables Graeme to bring a comprehensive approach to the LDC team. As Head of Design, Graeme leads all project preconstruction and design stages. He is also instrumental in supporting all of our projects at construction stage and handover to ensure that the quality of design feeds through into the construction stages.

In her current role of Estimating Director, Kate’s focus is on leading high value, complex bids that encompass multiple packages and which require extensive pre-construction work. This sees her working across a variety of specialist areas and a diverse range of clients.

A key highlight for Kate was the end-to-end delivery, from tender to practical completion, of the FIS Gold Award-winning new Macallan Distillery and Visitor Experience fit out with Robertson and leading architects, RSHP.

For the past fourteen years, Veronica has been overseeing this function including budget management, assisting in the implementation of legislative change and the delivery of company and management accounts.

During this time with turnover rising from £4m to £30m, she has overseen the introduction and implementation of the Coins system.

She now manages the finance department which supports Linear Group and Subsidiaries Linear Projects, Linear Design & Construct, Linear Building Compliance and Linear Fire Safety.

 A proven innovator and leader in his field, Garry has an impressive range of qualifications including NEBOSH Diploma, Lead Auditor, Mental Health Instructor, IOSH Fire Risk Assessor and NLP Practitioner. He has successfully developed award winning training and coaching programmes, alongside the effective implementation of integrated safety management systems.

At Linear Group, his role is to nurture, develop and promote compliance, achieve excellence through a strong health and safety culture and coach colleagues to ensure the right solution every time. As part of this, Garry has overseen the development and implementation of our safety management systems externally accredited to ISO 450001:2018, as well as providing his experience and knowledge to steer the continual development of the Linear Group Health & Safety culture.

As Group Operations Manager, Claire is responsible for ensuring the development and smooth running of all business functions within Linear Group. In carrying out her varied and overarching role Claire now oversees the Compliance Team as well as engaging with Business Unit leaders, Group Directors, Linear HSE function, HR, Business Governance and Office Management.

Claire’s commitment to excellence has fostered a culture of continuous improvement and has been vital to the business as it strives to attain the highest level of customer satisfaction.  It has also meant a strong focus on all aspects of compliance across the business, ensuring it is fundamental to, and highly valued by, every team in the Group

Over the next four years he gained invaluable experience, as well as successfully completing a degree in Construction Management.   In 2017, Jason sought to broaden his knowledge and made the move into fit-out contracting with Thomas Johnstone.

Joining the Linear Projects team in 2018, Jason has risen from Buyer to Procurement Manager in just three years, demonstrating his instrumental  role in advancing the business’s supply chain and the implementation of processes to maximise efficiency.

In this role, Jason oversees the entire Procurement and Purchase Ledger function for all companies across Linear Group.  Whilst controlling all live material and plant requirements across the UK, he works collaboratively with the Estimating and Surveying departments to provide assistance in crucial areas of key tenders and manages the supply chain alongside developing supplier and sub-contractor relationships.

At Laing O’Rourke she began as an on-site receptionist and then moved to office manager.  Following this she relocated to their Head Office and became a PA for Director of Laing O’Rourke Scotland.

Joining Linear Group in 2019 as Business Support Coordinator, Lorraine is responsible for a range of pivotal support activities including tender submissions, training and HR administration, marketing and business development, alongside administrative support to the Senior Management team.

Lorraine is the driving force of the Group’s marketing efforts and oversees the creation of content for the website, events, PR and internal communications.  She works closely with the heads of each of the Linear businesses to ensure regular exposure of key developments and achievements.

A diligent and dedicated team player, Lorraine is always on hand to provide support to colleagues, adding real value to ensure the optimal delivery of key projects.

With over 20 years’ experience in HR, Isobel has acquired extensive insight and knowledge across the full spectrum of personnel and related functions. 

With a solid track record in manufacturing, she worked for Cummins Inc for nine years where she developed novel strategies and functionality across HR to drive unprecedented organisational productivity and growth along with leading three successful HR start-up programmes across UK, USA and Canada.  

During this time Isobel refined her skills as a strong communicator establishing robust relationships with both staff and senior managers.  With a hands-on approach she has long been committed to ensuring enhance professional development through execution of recruitment and selection process as well as demonstrated expertise across complex negotiations.

Joining Linear Group as HR Manager in early 2021, Isobel is responsible for the proactive operational management of all aspects of HR across the business.  In this role she is focused on effective organisational development, training, employee engagement, performance management and employment law matters.

CIPD Qualified and a trained negotiator, Isobel brings a vital array of skills and expertise in support of the wider business ambitions, as well as supporting senior managers in HR related matters.

Over the course of his 10 year tenure he provide diverse expert technical and strategic support to, and was responsible for, around 50 clients, including Linear Group.
 
With a drive to optimise and help realise clients’ digital ambitions, Andrew played a pivotal role in doubling RedMosquito’s turnover through strong business development performance, including  a 50% increase on recurring revenue and breaking the £1M mark.

Joining Linear Group in 2021, Andrew is responsible for enhancing and evolving all aspects of IT provision, infrastructure and support across the business.  This means ensuring optimal delivery and leading the digital development to scale alongside business growth and needs. This includes improvements to software packages within the business, ongoing digital roadmap and cyber security and compliance.

Starting his career as a Passive Fire Protection and Contracts Manager, he acquired first-hand knowledge of this vital area.  In extending his capability, William has an NVQ in Level 2 in Passive Fire and Dry Lining plus a FDIS Diploma in Fire Doors and is a NVQ A1 Assessor and an ISO9001 Internal Auditor.  

As a Quality Engineer for Alstom Power, William expanded his knowledge where compliance was central to every aspect of the power sector. This meant a strong focus on auditing, training, equipment, calibration and record management.  Following this he moved to work for Warrington Certification as a FIRAS Inspector which involved strong communication skills in dealing with FIRAS accredited companies in Scotland and Northern England. 

Joining Linear in 2018, William took up the post of FIRAS & Site Quality Assurance Manager bringing his strong attention to detail and hands on experience to the benefit of Linear clients and projects.  This role has seen William consistently identify both risks and opportunities with performance specification through the tender process and during construction works, and being able to offer tailored assistance and advice to ensure full compliance in line with regulations.

Now working as part of the LBC team, William continues to provide his vital expertise and understanding of compliance, alongside driving the highest standards and focus on optimal quality assurance.
