New hospital redefines healthcare with single room strategy.

location
A75, Cargenbridge, Dumfries DG2 8RX

The new £212m, 50,000 square metre Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary is the first Scottish District General Hospital to be constructed with 100% single rooms.

Set in a rural environment, it has a low-rise campus style design with increased integrated landscaping.

To minimise construction time on-site, the layout was designed to facilitate construction on a number of fronts and maximise off-site manufacturing. Building Information Modelling (BIM) was utilised from an early concept stage to enhance the user group process.

Continuing our long standing relationship with Laing O’Rourke and Knauf, we delivered another highly successful healthcare project with a focus on dry lining expertise.

“Dumfries and Galloway Hospital was a challenging hospital build which required a great deal of technical expertise. Linear Projects effectively resourced this relatively remote location and were the back bone to the fit-out success, delivering both partitions and ceilings installations. I would not hesitate to select them again in the future and recommend them to other clients and contractors.” Roger Frost, Project Director.
